Katherine Weiss is an associate that concentrates her practice on litigation involving design professionals, contractors and owners in the areas of construction defects, construction accidents, professional malpractice and commercial law. Ms. Weiss also has experience in property/land use litigation. Prior to joining Sinnreich Kosakoff & Messina, Ms. Weiss was Assistant General Counsel for the New York State Governor’s Office of Storm Recovery in which she ensured that government-funded design and construction projects were implemented in accordance with applicable laws. Ms. Weiss is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of, and coach for, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society. While attending Brooklyn Law School, Ms. Weiss was the 2012 Negotiation Champion for the FINRA/St. John’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition. Ms. Weiss is admitted to the bar in New York and New Jersey and holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University. Ms. Weiss is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association.
